Job Requirements:

Our care workers are required to have the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience and/or a recognised care qualifications and/or trainings.
  • Minimum of two independent professionals, character, education and employment references.
  • A recent passport sized photograph of yourself.
  • Driving Licence – both parts (or birth/marriage certificate if a non-driver).
  • Proof of address, for example, two utility bills of your current home address.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • Your full UK passport or EEA national passport/identity card OR a current visa OR other travel document endorsed to show that the holder has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK or current leave to enter or remain in the UK and can undertake work.

Mandatory and Induction Training

There are mandatory and induction courses all candidates have to complete including Care Certificate, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Adults, Autism courses, Positive Behaviour Support, First Aid, Administration of medicines and other specialist trainings.

    Position: Senior Care Worker

    Contract Type: The hours are part time to begin with. These may gradually increase in the near future.

    Location:  Luton, Central Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

    Hours: Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week

    Starting: After successful recruitment process 

    Hourly Rate: £12.30 per hour

    Job Description:

    • Are you a qualified and/or experienced care worker interested in going into management?
    • Are you good on the computer, able to write care plans, reports, undertake service user assessments and supervise staffs?
    • Are you able to perform basic tasks on the computer and on care Apps?
    • Are you a car driver with full UK driving licence?

    If you answer yes to ALL of the above, this post may be ideal for you.

    Working alongside the Registered Manager, the post holder will also work as care worker on the field when needed. The post holder will manage the Organisation’s paper and online/digital Quality Documentation System of policies, procedures, and record forms, and advise staff of any up-dates, amendments or other changes to policies, procedures and care standards.

    The post holder will work both in the office and the service users’ sites and assist in undertaking spot audits of service delivery in accordance with documented procedures and supervision of staff.

    Under the direction of the Registered Manager, assist in the quality monitoring process, undertaking visits as required. Monitoring and implementation of service standard for the company. Ensure detailed records, audits and documentation are maintained of all activities as required by company standard. Participate in recruitment and selection process as required and support and assist new members of staff. To assist in induction training and “shadowing” of new staff, as appropriate.

    Essential Requirements: Being a car driver is an essential part of this position. The successful applicant must also be computer literate.

    Desirable Requirement : The successful applicant will have previous domiciliary care experience, be highly motivated, very ambitious and passionate about care of people with autism and learning disabilities; have a thorough understanding of social care and CQC regulations; have a minimum level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Childcare, Early Childhood Studies or in a related social care field.Senior Care Worker
