Day Opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism

We are a person-centred day opportunities base for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Our service is led by a parent with over 27 years of extensive personal and professional experience of autism, and has been running a successful CQC registered domiciliary care service for over six years.

At Thrive, service users are supported in accordance with their individual abilities and our renowned person-centred ethos with which we have built a successful and trusting reputation with service users, their families and local authorities.

We appreciate we are all individuals and want our service users to have a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

All our activities aim to:

➢ Create social experiences, develop friendships and positive relationships
➢ Enable life skills
➢ Grow confidence
➢ Support self-esteem and awareness
➢ Increase health & wellbeing
➢ Enable real work experiences

Some of our activities in the community includes:

➢ Cooking sessions run by a qualified chef
➢ Computer sessions
➢ Swimming
➢ Bowling
➢ Music, Movement/Karaoke
➢ Fitness, gym, walks, parks etc.
➢ Life skills – shopping, learning about money management, road safety
➢ Fashion and beauty sessions run by a qualified makeup artist for interested service users
➢ Art and crafts and many more!

Service users are always doing things they enjoy and are right for them.

Monday to Friday, standard rates apply. 

Additional rates may apply depending on the service user’s level of needs, pick up and drop off transport needs, longer hours and weekend bookings.

Age range:

These services are for adults and young people aged 18+

    Eligibility criteria:

    * Age 

    * Autism 

    * Learning Disability 

    * Baseline assessment of needs and level of required support 

    Longer weekday opening hours and weekend opening can be arranged subject to availability, additional costs and advance booking
